Daimler AG

Trading under a new company name (previously DaimlerChrysler AG), a new chapter in company history has begun for Daimler. This change is expressed visually by Daimler's new corporate logotype and new corporate design. As part of a competitive presentation, in May 2007 SCHINDLER PARENT IDENTITY BERLIN was invited to conceptualize creative designs for the new Daimler wordmark and to develop creative ideas for a new corporate design. In June 2007 the decision was made in favor of the Berlin-based agency and thus also the commission to create a new corporate design.

The new corporate logotype

The wordmark Daimler is the visualized expression and thus the "symbol" of the company. It represents a forward-looking, innovative and modern company that is aware of its origins and its great tradition, and which conveys its high standards in all aspects of the automotive world, both in passenger and utility vehicles as well as financial services.

 

The corporate logotype was developed in cooperation with the typographers of Underware agency.

The new corporate design

Daimler's profile is characterized by a long tradition of successful automotive innovation, its own standard of highest quality, and a constant openness to new developments. The concept of the corporate design by SCHINDLER PARENT IDENTITY BERLIN translates this profile to the corporate design. The corporate logotype in the color Daimler Blue unfurls its full impact on a broad, white surface.
