Schindler Parent has published a new presentation brochure. The 300-page booklet presents a large collection of examples of our work, from hot-off-the-press campaigns to old classics. The references are complemented by pictures of day-to-day agency activity and impressions of Lake Constance, on whose shores we are privileged to be based. Brand Check app.

Already a popular feature of our website, the Schindler Parent Brand Check can now also be downloaded for free in the iTunes store as an iPhone and iPad app. The “Check your Brand“ function lets you check the key brand impact dimensions such as positioning, topicality, integration, value and management by using a simple scoring system.

Schindler Parent Industry GmbH founded in Pforzheim.

As of the beginning of March 2011, Schindler Parent’s former Pforzheim Unit has now morphed into the subsidiary Schindler Parent Industry. The spin-off sees long-standing Head of Unit Clemens Kleiser become a Managing Director and 30% co-partner. Schindler Parent GmbH holds a 70% interest in the subsidiary and Eugen Schindler, co-founder and managing partner of Schindler Parent, was appointed as a further Managing Director.

Schindler Parent Identity in Berlin now Realgestalt.

Schindler Parent has sold its majority share in the Berlin design agency Schindler Parent Identity GmbH to the Berlin management. Matthias Dietz, Jürgen Michalski, Anne Kohlermann and Cornelius Mangold have relaunched the business under the name Realgestalt GmbH. The subsidiary had been active in Berlin since 1998, when the corporate design business was relocated there and Schindler Parent Identity successfully launched with DaimlerChrysler, Debis and Smart as clients.

Schindler Parent now once again 100% owner-managed and planning its succession.

Following the repurchase of the remaining 10% share in Schindler Parent held by Pixelpark AG Berlin/Hamburg/Cologne, the Meersburg-based agency has now reverted to 100% owner-management as of summer 2011. The move presents an ideal opportunity for its two founders, Eugen Schindler and Jean-Claude Parent, to start planning the succession early on from within the company.

Think inside the box – mark five.

How do you turn an ordinary box into something extraordinary? Take one stylish Invercote box and mix it with globally renowned designers from the graphics, commercial interior and packaging industries. The result is a highly creative artefact: indeed, a work of art. Following on from Paris, London and New York, the Black Box project comes to Hamburg in November courtesy of the designer Sebastian Onufszak.

Schindler Parent scores again with Siemens.

Following Schindler Parent’s successful bid at the beginning of the year to design Siemens’ new product presentation for the drive family SINAMICS, it was invited by the Industry Division Drive Technologies to pitch for another project. The mission was to devise a campaign to publicise a new name for an existing, long-established product group unrivalled throughout the world in its comprehensiveness.

Hot stuff!

For the Luxe Pack, the Monaco-based trade fair for international luxury goods packaging design, Schindler Parent produced a new issue of the GEKA magazine “Update”. This publication provides behind-the-scenes insights into current projects and presents the hottest new trends in the beauty and cosmetics industry. And talking of novelties: for the recently launched fully finished collection, the agency developed a series of ads – in corresponding style, needless to say – for publication in leading specialist magazines.

The new KLS Martin website is all set to go online in time for the MEDICA, the international trade fair for the medical industry which takes place on 16 November in Düsseldorf. The new look is clearer, more user-friendly, and characterised by the typical KLS Martin corporate design. Both concept and implementation were the work of Schindler Parent.

All about Beauty.

Since June, Victoria (formerly Victoria Cosmetics), a service partner of cosmetics manufacturers and retailers, has sported a new look. Following the successful launch of its new corporate design, the product catalogue has now also received a facelift: more than just a source of product information, this attractive medium invites the reader into a world of beauty and gives persuasive expression to the claim: ”Let’s go for beauty”.

TE lights digital campfire at the Plug-In 2011.

TE Connectivity is one of the biggest electronics manufacturers in the world. At the Plug-In 2011 fair in Raleigh, North Carolina, the company presented itself under the banner “EV is not a question of plugs, but of players“ as a partner for system solutions with far more to offer than connectors and charging consoles – namely complete concepts for connecting networks with towns, countries and e-vehicles. A central element of the booth concept developed by Schindler Parent was a digital campfire, which provided a focal point for specialists and potential customers alike.

Lifestyle par excellence!

What more can you say about the new A6 Avant from Abt? The vehicle tuner from the Allgäu has once again set new standards by turning the Audi into a sporty, dynamic luxury liner. Schindler Parent provided the perfect showcase for the extravagant sport combi, with large-scale advertising boards in the Austrian resort of Lech/Vorarlberg that awaken the desire to cruise at all altitudes. And the Q5 from Abt will soon be equally hard to miss, as a 40x4.8m billboard featuring the powerful Audi model greets visitors to the Hochgurgel mountain terminal.

How do you convey to customers of measuring and test equipment that certain something that gives a supplier added value? With photos of passionate, dedicated employees hard at work – a charming, tongue-in-cheek approach. The new photo concept highlights the prime position of dataTec, Germany’s leading distributor of measuring and test equipment. The pictures are used in the image section of the catalogue, dataTec’s key medium, and in the data/fact folder.

A perfect sound deserves a perfect look.

The IFA in Berlin is the hotspot for the latest trends in the information, communication and entertainment industry. This year, in-akustik was once again represented with a booth at the fair. Not content with just a “good sound“, the cable manufacturer prides itself on providing perfect sound worlds. On show in Berlin were the loudspeaker cables of the new reference series, which proved a resounding success – as did the look of the booth itself.

Magazine a vehicle for artistic experiment.

“auf“ is the commercial magazine of the Zeppelin University in Friedrichshafen. This new “heckling medium“ takes a critical look at answers, reports on current research projects and results and outlines the development of the young university.
The publication was conceived and largely shaped by the artist Ruediger John, with Schindler Parent acting as art director. “auf“ is set to be published twice a year.

Relaxed customers.

The RS Media Group AG, headquartered in Singen, commissioned Schindler Parent with the relaunch of their brand. A workshop was held where the positioning and brand architecture were clarified, the logo made more dynamic and the image of the umbrella and product brands harmonised. The new claim is: ”A systematic approach to brand added value”, and the new visual language highlights the benefit to the customer, who can thus sit back and relax.

Agency sponsors guest researcher.

This year, Schindler Parent is once again sponsoring the research project of a selected guest academic at the Zeppelin University. This year’s “Schindler Parent Distinguished Guest Lecturer” is the economist Felix Eggers, who will be spending the current autumn semester conducting research into the topic of employer brands in the Marketing department chaired by Professor Dr. Peter Kenning.

Together with Peter Kenning and PhD bursary holder Linn Viktoria Rampl, Felix Eggers will work on refining empirical methods for measuring employer brands. It is hoped that a reliable evaluation of employer brands will make it possible to find parameters for determining how the value of the employer brand can be enhanced in order to gain a competitive advantage and attract talented employees.

Image films for market launch in the USA.

Already successfully established in Europe, FUJIFILM Medical Systems USA is now also seeking to conquer the American market with Aspire HD, a digital mammography device. For the product launch, we worked with our E3 network partners Aloft Group and Zenomuzik in the spring of this year to develop image films in three renowned European breast cancer centres. To this end, well-respected X-ray consultants in Derby, Rom and Como were interviewed about the first-class qualities of Aspire HD by FUJIFILM Medical Systems.

Great teeth at a great price: who could refuse? Exactly. The advertising campaign generated by Schindler Parent on this theme came up trumps. For the successful relaunch of the dentist surgery brand FairPreisPraxis, the agency won the gold “Werbe Profi 2011” award in the print category. This prize has been awarded since 2008 for particularly innovative and creative achievements of the advertising industry in the Black Forest, Baar, Heuberg and Lake Constance regions which have been successfully and professionally implemented.

Black Box wins SWISS STAR 2011.

The SWISS STAR is regularly awarded by the Swiss Packaging Institute for creative packaging innovations. This year, the Black Box developed by Schindler Parent for Iggesund, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high-quality cardboard boxes, won the prize for its unusual concept and design. The combination of excellent design and artistic contents set new standards and convinced the jury.

And the winner is ... Ada Brunazzi. With her Italian version of the Black Box, the graphic designer and photographer scooped the coveted Freccia d’oro award back in May. Under the title “Eat more pasta”, the artist demonstrated impressively how everything Italy means to her could be packed into our Black Box. Buon Apetito!
